Any talk of an expansion?

Post by Spence of Spades »

I enjoy the game, was thinking how it could lend to a pro wrestling like campaign where you have a belt holder, rivalries, etc to give a progressive thing fir two people to play. The problem, a max of seven monsters available if u get baby gigazaur. Just not enough. Thought about grabbing monsters from the original, NAME ONLY, and coming up with a different power using the exclamation points, but not many options left, perhaps expanding to 4 EP (exclamation point) roll requirements, high risk, but high reward, say 3 stars/destruction moves? But that's only one, I would want about 5 to make it a legit faction campaign. One campaign rule, much like pro wrestling where champion has advantage, two matches, switching players, for a belt, challenger needs both to win, draw (one each) and belt stays w champion. And this just popped into my head, outside interference could be a monster power where a non participant monster could get one turn, no special power, on a participant roll of three EPs.

Anyone who has experience in the game have an idea for a special power not already incorporated? Now I think I'm onto something I wanna bring to fruition.

This game is the same as the original game. BGA versions should adhere to that.

There is a (real life) expansion/side game coming to Duel end of the year(different board and board mechanics, 6 new monsters, and 2 promo ones).
Maybe it gets added to BGA in the long run, but I don't know. The Monsters can be used either in "King of Tokyo Duel", or in "King of Tokyo Duel: Tokyo Bay".

But reskinning it to wrestlers, or make small changes from the original is a big no no.

Proving me wrong?
Only on the part that I expected them to add Baby Gigazaur and The 100th only at a later point. Not about the rest.

I'm not the person in charge of deciding when they're allowed to be released on BGA, but I monitor the physical releases closely.
The 100th isn't released yet, I'm hoping to obtain one at UKGE, just like I got Baby Gigazaur last year at UKGE also.
