I want the choice to have it locked. Especially in a turn-based game. If I'm on the bar and my oppponent has me completely blocked in his home board, I don't want to get an alert to take my "turn" which is literally saying no, I do not want to make this insane decision of doubling.euklid314 wrote: ↑01 April 2026, 18:30 In general cube lock works fine, especially if you cannot move your checkers and you want to skip the doubling decision each turn. As soon as you can move again the cube is automatically unlocked - which is a good feature because otherwise you might miss the chance of doubling.
Yes, for me the cube lock works in turn based games in such a case. I can lock the cube and my opponent can make as many moves as it needs till I can move again. I am not asked if I want to double.monthemeeple wrote: ↑02 April 2026, 05:48 I want the choice to have it locked. Especially in a turn-based game. Are you saying that in turn based games, the cube lock persists?
Wow, I didn't expect that. I honestly don't know what else to try in troubleshooting. Thanks for letting me knoweuklid314 wrote: ↑02 April 2026, 09:40Yes, for me the cube lock works in turn based games in such a case. And this is independent of my browser status.
I am not still not sure if we are not talking about the same game behaviour but interpret it differently.monthemeeple wrote: ↑02 April 2026, 14:39Wow, I didn't expect that. But that's what I'm saying, that's what I want but it doesn't work. The cube doesn't persist at all.
He is not the developer (neither am I), but I also am having trouble figuring out what you are saying. My cube works exactly as Euklid described it above.monthemeeple wrote: ↑03 April 2026, 22:53But that's what I'm saying, that's what I want but it doesn't work. The cube doesn't persist at all.
I tried in a game with a friend (turn-based), and on my turn it was unlocked again. It doesn't matter whether I've opened the table on my turn or not, unlocked either way. Are you the developer?
Sorry I'm not sure how to make it clearerRemkar wrote: ↑04 April 2026, 02:52He is not the developer (neither am I), but I also am having trouble figuring out what you are saying. Can you answer 1 question. If you lock the cube, then leave the game, when you come back when it's your next turn, have the dice been rolled for you already? If so, the cube lock is working.
I will invite you to a 3-point match. Then we can try it out how it looks for me vs. for you... Please join, if you like.monthemeeple wrote: ↑04 April 2026, 21:02 Sorry I'm not sure how to make it clearerin the situation you described, no the dice is not rolled. The cube is unlocked again, and I have to choose whether to double or roll. Hence why I'm absolutely certain this is a bug, and I've reported it as is the process, and just hoping anyone else that does have the same problem sees the post and votes. However if I'm actually the only one experiencing this, I'd kinda hope there's a way to figure that out as well.
