Dear Forum,
I would like to understand how to setup a 4p tournament that deals the best way possible with non-active players.
So far, I've participated in only one 4p tournament, (the Asia Seat for WSBG).
First question :
Does the organizer have a power to handle non active games ? And if the game is canceled, who wins ?
2nd question : if players cannot eject a non active player. So what happens ? and when? Who decides that the game will go no further ?
About the scoring, is the leading player winning the match in case of a elimination tournament ? And in a swiss tournment each other player gets some points ?
If then can eject, same question... who wins ?
I'm guessing the swiss system works better with large amount of players, with possibility of kicking out a player. And then, based on the results, a "final" phase could gather the best players in a non-kicking elimination phase. I assume the best players also involve more in respecting the pace of the game, or at least write something if they cannot play for a while.
Any thoughts about that ?
Maybe links towards info ?
