Consult players BEFORE making changes, please!

Post by Echevarria »

So, we're told that even if players are frustrated by the new graphics and want the option of using the old ones, "going back with an option is… not an option." Why? Because "the cards were designed by professional graphic designers" and that "if some of you think you can explain to all of them how to do their job, maybe you should apply."

I can't think of a more arrogant way to respond to players, especially premium members. How about engaging with the concerns? How about consulting users transparently before changing beloved games?

In short: How about treating this as a community?

The issue isn't whether the graphics are attractive. It's whether the game is better for the PLAYERS as a result. If you consulted players widely and transparently before changing them, tell us. If you didn't, pledge to learn and do better.

I still think the cards from the 2018(?) edition would be a great option. Dark card background/borders for contrast and icons for color blind players. Numbers are larger and still using the handshake icon. Looking at earlier art, there's clearly a reason for it btw.

And I still believe, nobody seriously tested the new version on tablets. With the actual bugs and issues (aside from the card design!), not only on tablets, this should have never(!) gone live. A botched release from all angles. Sorry, ignoring all of this is ... not an option.

Agree too. Hate the new design. I want my money back on premium membership. Been trying to contact them but with no response

It doesn't work well on my iPad, okay on desktop PC, but I still hate the new graphics and will only play it again if it's returned to its former glory.

Agreed. This new interface should have been tested first. It's buggy with cards in hand sometimes going out of numerical order and cards disappearing from the center until you refresh the screen. Was there a heads up or any kind of FYI to players in advance before this was implemented?
