I also find this new implementation worse than the old one.
I understand BGA aims for precision and cares about translations, but typos happen all the time, even to the most careful translator, and the strings disappearing just makes it impossible to find them in a timely manner.

Others already pointed what I was going to write about new, worse translation page. Previous one with few additions would be much better. One addition I would really like, and no one pointed would be selecting few search options at same time, not only chose one of them. And something even more important I would like to have search option to find recently changed translations. To find mine, or others that were changed. at this point I have no info about that, if, by who or why my previous translation was changed.

Not to say that there should be software blockade for someone who hasn't played a single time, and its translating that game. Its very common, even that it is directly against BGA policy, but has no formal blockade.
Most funny in this is, or was, that is old memory, that when I tried to fix already "approved" terrible translation of someone who hasn't played a single game, I not only had to play it more, I had to WIN 10 times, while that person didn't had to even play once

PS: With new translation interface came new phrases to translate. Those looks same as phrases in old interface, same meaning, same context same use, same form. That phrase were already translated for many languages. Why not use them and create new same one instead? So translators have more work to do? Translating same over and over again?

I agree that some games are poorly translated, but I don't think playing them on the platform would necessarily solve the issue: a translator could know the game from outside BGA, or a not-so-famous game could have simple enough strings that can be translated without major terminology or game-related concepts involved just by reading the rules.

Yes knowing game outside helps. But parts of translation are also implementation buttons, commands, logs etc. That things need to be seen in game. Also if someone know game from outside, shouldn't be a problem to play it few times. I don't mean hundreds, nor wins even.
At same time that blockade will deny access to all that who doesn't know game, just run phrases through translator without context, without second thought, maybe even by script.

I'm used to improving the translation of tutorials for all the new games I discover on BGA.
Most of the time, it's just about syntax. A few times, it's about ensuring consistency of terms in the tutorial itself or between the tutorial and the game.

The strings disappearing as you go is meant to help you stay focused on what’s left to do, one step at a time.

We really appreciate the time and effort you're putting in to help make the game better and more accessible for everyone.
The new layout is so cumbersome to use that I've lost all incentive to provide more translations.

I've noticed that paginator disappeared from the top of the translations. So If I'm translating 11th pages tutorial and I'm on page 6, and I need to change filters for a moment to check consistency of some terms and then, going back to the tutorial filter I need 5 times scroll down to the very bottom of the screen for using paginator and get to the 6th page.

Another thing - there is no input for searching strings by translator anymore. Sometimes some enthusiastic person can come and translate random strings absolutely without any context and without this filter it's not easy to find all their translations.

It is still there. Just open the dropdown for the „Show“ filter, select „Translated by“ and then enter the username you want to search for.
