Here's a sample game. Did the rolling dice animation make you think it wasn't using the dice deck?

Ahh yes! I had to quit because the other players refused to abandon at the very start of the game. You're exactly right..I thought the rolling dice meant it didn't work. I was looking to see actual cards with numbers on them. So I clearly misunderstood. Thanks!

In the dice deck variant are "red Die" and a "yellow die" probabilities maintained the same since that is needed in the Cities and Knights expansion for resource cards?
