I think the fix for this issue is just to add only 2 days of thinking time to any fast turn-based games. That will be equivalent to 4 calendar days.
Wouldn't people then be complaining that the Joker isn't really giving them 4 more days?
I'm not sure why we need to rewrite the way things work to cater to OP specifically. They say they signed up for a fast game, but the people who are using the Joker signed up for 4 more days and for a game mode that offers them sleeping hours, so 8 days in total. The complains work both ways.
So one signed for table with game speed as described on table options, others didn't, and are trying to cheat that with time jokers. Already used 3 and gave themselves 24 extra days to cover that they can't play with that speed, but of course both have right to complain

.
I’m evidently not defending cheaters, just the ones who use them for normal reasons.
When someone uses a Joker, the speed of the table is irrelevant because the duration of their inconvenience is not proportional to that speed. The two things have nothing to do with each other.
You’re only looking at it from the perspective of the other player being annoyed. But the person who used the Joker deserves to have their emergency addressed, and for their allotted time to be the same regardless of the type of table they are in.
The whole discussion about percentages of time added makes no sense in this context. When Jokers are used, you accept that they may change the type of duration you signed up for. If you’re not okay with that, then it’s the concept of Jokers as a whole you disagree with.
