Yeah, i think it can explain the big gap. Motivation to pay for premium (or contribute to get it for free) is that much higher on very active and skilled players. You don't buy premium when you're just checking out the platform or just play every now and then. and I can imagine there must be millions of such registered users.Amirreza10 wrote: ↑26 October 2026, 18:26 Do you think your answers can explain difference between 5% and 60%?

Check out the Allround-League: https://boardgamearena.com/group?id=7870115 --> a league where you have matches of random games vs. other players in your group. Season 10 is running Oct. '26 - Feb. '27

do you know the jackie chan "WHAT?" meme ?! xDDAmirreza10 wrote: ↑26 October 2026, 19:15
But you can not choose who you are playing against, so I really do not see a way for the effect that you are talking about to play a role.
I am not a judge here, and I just asked the question! If you think it can explain the gap, then good!)
IF youre talking arena , ok lets say you cant choose - youre still paired with a higher total amount of players ...
I was talking about top elo - and yes you can choose the games you play ...

I think I can just quote this part of your comment "IF youre talking arena , ok lets say you cant chooseç" and leave it at that! It is really funny that you start stating a fact by "lets say" !silentProtest wrote: ↑26 October 2026, 21:29do you know the jackie chan "WHAT?" meme ?! xDDAmirreza10 wrote: ↑26 October 2026, 19:15

because the cost of arena not auto starting is that you CAN knowAmirreza10 wrote: ↑26 October 2026, 21:51

Even Jackie Chan can not be this surprised! It was a lovely exchange of ideas and showed me the logic behind it!

I thought so - youre welsome lol
you can know your opponent in arena, just as an logical consequence of them changing it up to manual arena confirmation; that is why I suggested to make the assumption that one does not know...
but nevermind that. I was mainly talking about elo, since you never were specific of what you want to know

Re: Hidden luck bonus in the game algorithm
I asked why the ratio of premium players to standard players in the top 100 is much more than the general ratio amongst them? Your initial answer was basically "because good players equal premium players". Now you are changing your answer to "Because they have a clear advantage designed by the website to have better ELOs". Can you spot the inconsistency in your answers?silentProtest wrote: ↑27 October 2026, 02:15I thought so - youre welsome lol

top 100 based on elo OR based on arena points in current arena season ...Amirreza10 wrote: ↑27 October 2026, 02:31I asked why the ratio of premium players to standard players in the top 100 is much more than the general ratio amongst them? the answer from me and Silene was multifactorial that gives you an idea of what categories of things are in play.
... and that whole thing reached the point that it became so dumb that I cant even think of ways to make humor out of it - have fun with whatever you are trying to do.
PS: the answers were "basically" NOT that. the only inconsistency I see, is between how you can write but either not think or read (has to be one of those...)

I see how you are struggling with writing and how frustrated you are because of that!
) No worries, mate! I will not continue this discussion, as it is getting further and further from the basics of logic and closer to making jokes! I hope you have happy times and many unbiased wins! Cheers!
PS: From now on, I will only use this website to try games and be competitive somewhere else!
