In fact, No and the result is a Loss Of Control...

Arena mode is a Competitive Mode, not a Child Mode.
No, I clarely state than the player still can crash willingly, both IRL and on the BGA adaptation.
My point is in live game if you would place the die that would crash you while you don't want to, just a field aside a correct one, you would certainly adjust this when you or an opponent effectively notices the mistake (if this mistake is even spotted anyway).

I see no reason why it would be different in the BGA adaptation, which should recreate the live experience as far as possible in my opinion, hence the warning. This argument have already been raised several times in the main thread by someone else.
These warnings give no tactical advice whatsoever, these are merely warnings; this is not an IA babysitting the poor player.
Warning someone who doesn't know to play is fair and sounds normal to me, but not somebody who's supposed to know how to play. And arena players are supposed to know how to play because they've played a few games to get at least 100 ELO points.

Playing any game means knowing the rules. So, if you know the rules and do any mistake, it's only your fault. And what's the point in playing any game if you don't accept the possibility of losing ? Imagine a football game (or any other sport) where a player tells their opponents what to do or at least what to not do to beat them. That would be so boring, wouldn't it ?

Plus, as said tchobello, arena mode is a competitive mode. People are free to play it or not. If you just want to play "chill", then play a simple game and use any option you want to play with.

And yes, warnings in arena mode are nothing else than an IA babysitting the poor player.
Even if I agree with your arguments, both of you, I ultimately think that is still a wrong idea because applying two different logics on "normal" games and Arena games would split even more the community. As I said before, to be consistant with all other games here on BGA, you should disable all the warnings provided by other games.

That does not seem easy to do nor desirable I think. But that could be discussed in a general debate but related on all games, not only Rallyman GT.

So, even if it is still not an optimal solution, I'd rather have Rallyman GT follow that logic instead.
Disable warnings on Rallyman GT and that game becomes the exception among all BGA games.
Even if your point of view is understandable, I rather prefer to be pragmatic on that one and let the game consistant with overall BGA design.
That argument holds whether I'd prefer to play with warning or without.

Futhermore, warnings seem to be set by default, so most players are now used to it (people usually do not change these options as they start to play; only when they get accustomed with them). If that logic is reversed on Arena, that is even more confusing.

And I repeat, that is not babysitting the player. Enabling the computer advise you the optimal trajectory, yes, that would be babysitting. Letting on what is merely a safeguard is not.

Don't forget we are only talking about Arena Mode...
Do you imagine chess players taking part of a tournament without clock limit ?

Arena Mode in Dungeon Twister is Full Frontal Equal Forces... one of the hardest and nobody complains.

My point is Arena IS NOT representative of a real competitive tournament (maybe it is for chess, but for many other games it is definitely not the case), even if it is designed for serious play (originally it is there to remove the ranking value of Elo).

If it was designed like this, many games should not have warning at all, and I agree Rallyman GT neither.
And that is not the case; user interface reacts essentially the same, both in "chill" non-competitive play and on Arena, keeping the warnings the developper put in place where there are.

Hence, there are only two logic alternatives for the Arena design:

-Keep it has it is, merely a prolongation of vanilla BGA with the same UI design including the warnings; true that is not tournament-alike but that is what it is currently. I don't see why Rallyman GT should have two main game experiences, Arena with no warning, whereas the other games are integer, with warning when implemented.

-The admins could declare that Arena should recreate true tournament conditions, hence removing the warnings for all games. I would agree with such a system and take it then for what it would be.

Ok, it's pretty much tied 50% / 50%. Nobody is wrong, it's just a matter of point of view: I'll close this thread before tomatoes start flying

Could toss a coin to decide, but we can do it season based too. This is the first season, people are still discovering so we'll keep speed warning on. Next season, we can make speed warning off.

Of course half of you will be disgruntled, please bear with it. No way to make everyone happy on this
