I just discovered this implementation today, and was very impressed with it! However the "fair division" process caused a lot of confusion for my wife and I, who have played the physical version many times. I read the thread, and it seems like a sensible house rule, but it certainly isn't from the Santorini creator, Gordon Hamilton. I made a suggestion bug to propose it be optional, but was shot down and told that this rule was intended to be part of the base game, which I see no evidence of. In any case, if you think it's worth having this as an option instead of the only way to play, please give a thumbs up to the bug:Tisaac wrote: ↑31 May 2020, 01:21 Small changes to the fair division process to follow this bgg thread by one of Santorini creator : https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/214080 ... rst-player
Now the contestant build the powers offer and choose which power is going to start (suggestion is based on the file in the previous link)
I've also added a "competitive" mode (suited for Arena) : Random Fair Division => same as Fair Division but the contestant only pick from a subset of powers (to avoid people just mastering two powers and always picking them).
There are indeed several variations from the physical game, most of which are correcting mistakes in the physical copy of the game to improve balance of the game. At least 12 powers have been changed, too!Ezzelin wrote: ↑04 July 2020, 09:38 I just discovered this implementation today, and was very impressed with it!
