I come away with from it and other similar threads with the idea that you need to be super careful in anything that you might say. It's not just that you can't say anything insulting but it's pretty clear that you can't say anything that could possibly be interpreted as being insulting. It seems to me that some people had no intention of being offensive and got moderated anyway.

That seems to be the policy. You take it or leave it. If you can't abide by it then you are better off finding another site where the policies are more to your liking. I don't see the point in complaining about it endlessly.

I'm also well aware that very many people are disingenuous about what actually happened when giving their version of events. Some people believe that you can do anything you like so long as "good provocation" exists.

One would hope that the increasing amount of complaints would cause changes to be made before it results in the complete erosion of community.

I don't know that the owners read the forum and thus any of it makes any difference but there do seem to be a few cases where decent users got moderated over very little. I think there needs to be a bit more "benefit of the doubt".

Really ?

We have no mercy for repeated insults and/or bad behaviors.
We have rules.
We are as fair as we can.
The more you get reported and found guilty, the higher are the chances of receiving a strong penalty.

Also, complaining on each players page about them is not fine, not corrrect, and not acceptable.

There is stats. And words. We have them. All. Want to show them ?

Don't take the forum as a place to make your own justice : We can see which statements are false and/or justified.

BGA is meant to be a nice place where people can play and share their thoughts,
If you don't act nicely, you get penalties. Free or Premium.
That is the rule.

We're ok that it's not always perfect.
But if a big screen shows you that you acted wrongly,
first thing would be to think about what you've done to come to this.

Also, as stated recently, we will not accept fake statements and public shaming of specific users.

Repeated reports for insulting, for example, in a short time period, will result in stronger actions.
