I am happy to see a WWII strategy game arrive on BGA. I for one will be giving it a try. I have played many war games over the years on many different platforms. From Roman domination to Napoleonic wars. From PTO on PlayStation, to Call of Duty and Medal of Honour. These kind of strategy games are intriguing and it's good that the political side of this conflict has been included. I'll be trying it out solo to begin with.

I've always been intrigued by GMT games but too intimated by their rulebooks to learn them in real life, so BGA will be perfect to help me learn.

This is not at all complaining, because I'm extremely pleased this option is here, but I am slightly puzzled that this was the first GMT to make it here. I suspect some of the lighter ones would be palatable to a larger audience. Some of the mid weight ones would be great but even more popular would probably be the Lunchtime Series. I certainly hope that GMT gives permission for something from the Lunchtime Series to be here. Even having one of those on here might promote sales for the whole Lunchtime Series. There is something that you gamers have a hard time understanding.
If a game is on BGA it's not because you like it, but because an anonymous, volunteer developer had the crazy idea of ​​wasting hours and hours developing a game that he likes.

So don't expect too much that another GMT game will appear quickly on BGA, the investment is too large. (for example, see what a wargame costs on the m.tr.x game website). But if you want to discuss so that will be next, I will let you create a dedicated chat room.

Because nobody has yet bothered going to GMT website (same for some other games) to find the official links and add them to the game page.
Anyone can do this (not only the developer or BGA team). I've done part of the job :

Sorry, but GMT links are all too OLD, living rules are on BGG only.

GMT links are typically kept very current.

BGG requires you to have an account to download files, so that's NOT a good site a third party should be linking to at all.

People have fun playing wargames and learning history. Nothing to be uncomfortable about all. If you don't want to play, don't play. I hate games with magic themes, but it doesn't make me uncomfortable that they are here taking up space on BGA... I just don't bother playing them. Simple.
