It does depend on the game. In most games, you're expected to let the game play out, but in Tash-Kalar, you're
supposed to concede if your opponent triggers the end of the game and you can't at least tie the score with your last move. (It's not bad form to play that turn anyway, but the rules say you are not expected to.)
Through the Ages prompts me to concede the game at the beginning of every turn ... which seems excessive, but apparently it was the easiest way to code the concede mechanism into the interface. (It has to use its own concede mechanism, not the BGA mechanism, because there are rules for handling what happens when a player leaves the game.)
So I'll wave the white flag in Tash-Kalar, but not in most other games.
