Not really. They has been used for hundreds of years when the persons genders are unknown

Can't tell if you're joking or not, but "they" can definitely be used as a way to refer to a group, a singular person whose gender is not known or does not need to be mentioned, OR a single person whose gender is non-binary.

My remark was tongue-in-cheek. I'm not a native English speaker, so I don't claim to be "correct" (from what I have read/heard, it is true that the verb tends to be in the plural form). But there's something called "construction ad sensum" or notional agreement (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synesis) in English as well as in other languages, meaning that verb not always has to agree.

"They" in this case means BGA and/ or any other developer, since that one person is not online anymore. And the thread was about someone fixing the game. I wish we had used "per" and "person" to refer to non-gendered. Non-bianary get * over with the current way of thinking. I have one trans child and one non-bianary and can't undesrtand why the non-bianary get so little respect from those who are trying to be politically correct about it all. "They" are real, too.

And I'm not declaring "MY RULES" to the world. You said you used the word to not misgender, so I'm pointing out that to non-biarnary folks, you still misgendered. Trans are constantly thought about and accomodated, but non-bianary are ignored. Very hard to even talk about non-bianary folks as the only words they have are used other ways.

I'd like to add my admiration for Nekonyancer, as well - you're tutorials are always very well done and save me the tedious effort of learning by any other method. I am lazy when it comes to reading rulebooks and appreciate how much time it saves to play through one of your tutorials. Also, as a kinetic learner, I feel like I remember the rules best this way, too. Thank you so much again from me and the other BGA Admins!
