Why is the automatic choosing of only choice only for live play?

Can you please give details on what the variants are? Those who are not premium cannot build a table to see the details of the variants but I would still like to know what they are so I can look for games or avoid them.
Here they are:

Why is there 3 minutes plus on the clock to start? I find this is a game that takes very little thinking time (relative to others that start out with less time). I think it encourages (or enables) people to step away, or just change windows, between turns knowing that they have a few minutes.
BGA system automatically decides the time limit, based on the average time spent.

I already explained why in the third post of this thread.

Followup:
- Adjusted warning conditions and animation speed settings
- Added compact layout preference option for mobile screens
Also, before posting a report or a comment, please check the preference option list and/or the rules first.

If it ain't broke don't fix it.
Well, it was broken. There were many, many bug reports during the last 5+ years that were completely ignored.
At least I am thankful to ufm that he stepped up as a developer and added options and fixed bugs.
Bugs are one thing, animations and sound effects are another.
I hope ufm is being paid for their work.

BGA will go public? Interesting! That's something to keep in mind for all the volunteer(!) developers.

Is it possible to keep the same token color from game to game if the system recognizes it's the same people playing?

Thank you for the update, ufm!
Those new variants are very nice to have and, though I'd never encountered one of the bugs, of course it's very nice to have fixed them!
There's one more variant I'd like to see though: team-play with 4 colours, which can be played in 2p,3p or 4p. You need 5 columns to win and if you complete 3 with one colour without having 5 for both colours together, you lose. 4p is obvious, 2p means each player controls 2 colours, in 3p each player alternatingly plays their own colour and the neutral 4th colour.

No, sorry.

I already said I was allowed to add only official 3 variants designed by Sid Sackson.
If you want variants not in the official rulebook to be added as well, please contact the publisher instead.
