I am not reporting this game as deliberate losing.
Instead, I share this game as a real case.
You may laugh but open your mind.

Replay the game, you will see who incurred a red token
I said nothing at first because player is 508. Chat log below.
You will see this player misfired, accuse me 'seriously' and DENY misfiring.
Began with a greet:

On another note, I came across the following comment.
"If you propose to abandon game, and player refuse, it's his choice."
which implies that it is
alright to deny players from leaving a game.
Allow me to make a case.
A rapist holds down rapist's prey.
The prey ask to leave.
Rapist refuse because it's his choice.
The rapist violates and rape the prey.
It maybe 2 minutes rape,
but the girl suffering rape feels like an eternity.
Maybe you think you will never be rape.
Do you buy a ticket to ride a bus/train/ride hailing/taxi/plane?
A hijacker takes over the cockpit.
255 passengers demands to leave.
Hijacker denies because "it's his choice"
Then crash the plane into world trade center building.
Killing over 5,000 lives and spark the invasion of Iraq.
More Iraqi people die and suffer a war. No few US casualties too.
You may look up this event as 9-11 which actually happen.
"Hostage" is an act of
holding a person against their will to fulfill certain condition.
When a child is kidnap,
is it alright for kidnapper to refuse to release the child / hostage?
Is it right for kidnappers to have a 'choice / right to hold hostage?
I do not believe it is right to hold players hostage in a game table.
A player wants to leave the game, no longer wants to cooperate in Hanabi game.
Is it wrong to let that player leave?
If player is uncooperative, can Hanabi still be played as a cooperative game?
The rules of Hanabi and BGA do not state that it is illegal to abandon a game. So the act of holding players hostage is a form of player oppression.
Bully is a form of oppression.
This is the reason I suggest BoardGameArena.com (BGA) to setup an EXIT button for Hanabi players to unilateral one person decision to ABANDON game. All members of that table can be inform who trigger the EXIT and then ask why? and each player on that table can decide to red thumb or not, the player. So there is consequence for anyone who abuse an EXIT button.
Player feeling oppress or mistreated, should be allowed to leave.
Just like at school or work, you can take a sick or compassionate leave.
Other players can not finish a game, is not a calamity.
BGA game server reduces load from serving unhappy game.
A single player abandon game EXIT button is beneficial to BGA.
If you do not like it, then do not linger in hate. Go play a game that can enjoy, but not at the expense of oppressing other players.
I share this thought not to provoke / fight with anyone. It is because I believe it is not right / choice to hold player hostage. If you cannot afford compassion to your players in a cooperative Hanabi game, you can always to play the best premium competitive BoardGameArena.com games for only EUR 4.00 and play them for 30 days.
I am grateful to N_Faker and BGA.
The game I just shared and comments/posts from other members already demonstrate numerous bad apples in Hanabi so can BGA setup an EXIT button for good players to protect themselves from being taken hostage, please?
