Re: What's your opener here?

Helion | Experts, Mohole | Deimos, Trees, Photosynthesis, Carbonate. Gen 1 we play Trees, Photosynthesis, Carbonate (paying 1 heat). Pretty standard rush hand Edit: looks like anthracite (corvus mortis) beat me to it lol. also royal rook seems to be missing that energy prod is great and that i'll ha...

Re: 1 v 1 games are over as soon as someone gets AI Central

https://boardgamearena.com/gamereview?table=740988829 gen 1 ai central, on hellas, by a strong player (600 elo) see how it turns out =] I only watched gen 1 so far - That's a difficult line, I think. Spending every dollar to get the card in play gen 1 - not even being able to use inventor's guild -...

Re: Asteroid Mining Consortium

What do people think about Robinson as a corp? I was never a big fan of preludes, so I have not used these corps as much. Trash tier. Most corps at least have a useful ability that lasts the whole game. Robinson gets a garbage ability that becomes totally useless pretty quickly with a very meh open...

Re: 1 v 1 games are over as soon as someone gets AI Central

It's not even the best science draw card :P I'm curious what the best science draw card is, in your opinion. MarsU is generally better than AI. AI can be great but also is very highly overrated, especially by newer players who don't understand rush/tempo well (because it is strong against them and ...

Re: Late game strategy advice

Also you should have played insects for 4 gen 6 and funded LL (landlord) much earlier. A strong opponent would have funded scientist on 8. These were both much higher priorities than big asteroid stealing 0 plants (and now you have no titanium target with 3 ti prod so you spend it on a very worthles...

Re: Late game strategy advice

Agree with Szybek that it is 100% wrong to skip the eco scoring. My keeps would be: Robinson | turbines, shipment | all EXCEPT symbi, lightning, reservoir (reservoir is fine but we're a bit low on money still and probably not rush)

Re: turn based game improvement

Frankly I wouldn't mind a "seen discards" tab or something. would be relevant to flip through for stuff like ASA, Experimental Forest later on

Re: Understanding ELO and rankings

If you scroll down to ranking tab and select "all time" instead of default "current season" that will show ranks based on elos. The cutoff for top 100 is about 600 elo rn for example. That only shows top players but is the closest thing to what you are asking that I am aware of. ...

Arena should have an elo filter

Right now regular play has an elo filter where you can essentially set a minimum opponent elo threshold, but arena only allows you to restrict by league (notably, if you are in "elite" then the most you can filter to is just elite). An arena elo filter similar to the regular play filter wo...

Re: initial time when choosing corp and 10 cards

Can confirm that many experienced players agree that having more time on corp selection would be nice. I have heard that changing the time settings may be more difficult than it seems bc they are based on game statistics bga gathers and not hard coded for specific games. Perhaps someone who actually...
