Has anyone claimed first place?

I made second place when I scored around 350 pts. But I've had some wild luck, I'm in the 400's which I never saw as likely..... and I'm still in second place. Cribbage is predominantly luck (it acknowledges this in BGA's descriptor), but I'm puzzled that while I made it from 9th to 7th place by gai...

Re: Algorithms

I am curious to know about the algorithm. Re: Your favorite childhood board games?

Mine included Trivial Pursuit (invented just a few roads away from where I currently live),
Clue, Snakes and Ladders, Monopoly, Pictionary (like Pingimus), and the card game Cribbage as well as the dice game of Yahtzee, as are also available here at BGA.

Cribbage Algorithm question

Hi. I've been playing a while and was wondering if you could answer a question here. It's not anything one way or the other to me, but I'm curious. I'm familiar with the ELO scoring method. I understand the points award system, no problem. I'm wondering about the algorithm for the Cribbage game. Is ...

Conceding a game with grace.... a lost art?

I find that more and more players are conceding games. No comment, no thanking for playing, just clicking a button when a game is moments from finishing... they stuck with it until the other player is going to win within moments.... and they concede. Yes, the game was done, but really, does anyone e...
