Re: Remaining Order Cards

Yep, the number of remaining orders in the deck is shown at the top of the End Game Triggers section of the display.

Re: The Best Can't Stop Strategy

I’ve often found 4-7-10 to be a productive combo. Provides a lot of ‘width’ across the board while anchors to the 7.

Even some “never bank” players, do switch to banking once they get their second column secure.

Re: people who concede when losing

In games with the opportunity for notable high scores, and which are often short in duration (I’m looking at you, standard Yahtzee!) I’d prefer my opponent not to concede, even if I have just rolled my third Yahtzee and am on 400+ points mid-game and heading for an obvious win. Please allow me the c...

1880’s immigrant Americans “settling” the West?

Re: Imperial Settlers: Empire State of Mind

I started to post similar comments about the problematic use of settlers and empires in games from any era. Then I checked my most recent games played, which include Piraten Kapern, a quick game I enjoy playing. It’s based on pirates. Pirates, the real life ones, bring misery and suffering to many. ...

Re: Game not played anymore?

I’m just concluding a three-player turned-based game. I don’t think I’ll play again here. 1. The tile graphics are incredibly low-res and fuzzy, making it near impossible to know the placement costs of some without reference out to a BGG posted file of a sheet set of tile images. 2. The game mechani...

Caylus - Better Image Files

Hi Dev community I’m a mere player. Recently trying Caylus for the first time and the image files are super low res. The game was dev’d by BGA itself back in 2012 so I expect there’s no one actively looking after it. When I look at another older game like Puerto Rico the tiles there are hi-res even ...

way to make everything bigger everything on the game is really small What device are you using to play? On a tablet, pinch and zoom. On a PC, via a browser, can use the browser magnification feature to zoom in. I just checked on my iPad and it’s surprisingly easy to pinch and zoom. Even better, the...

Re: Discard ingredients in a cup

Hello, I do not know how to discard all ingredients in a cup. I made a mistake in one cup and wanted to discard all the ingredients in it but the game never gave me that option (at the moment or later) so this cup remained blocked full with useless ingredients during the whole game. Thanx I replaye...

Re: 'Asynchronous' and 'turn-based' are not synonyms

A game where all players took their actions at the same time might be called synchronous play. And then games where players took their actions one after another would be called asynchronous play.

Isn’t Seven Wonders a synchronous game?
