I played a few games - all ended in narrow losses. Safe to say the engine overall probably beats the best players on BGA, especially when any time is applied. I also have to say I dont like the app at all, as the view makes it a lot harder to plan things compared to the circular view of pieces here....

I'm not the best Patchwork player on BGA (Perhaps one of the best real time, maybe) but I'm a solid 800 rated player.

For science I will invest the money for the app and try on the hardest bot and will keep you updated here

I should be somewhere in the top 5 for games played and very likely top 3 for total XP in patchwork.

I'm currently @ 348k XP and 7000 games played.

I know dchin888 has over 11.5k games played and MaxCostello is currently around 7.8k games

While rake can be incredibly high on some apps (also depends on club/circle) I personally have seen more issues with bum hunters. On Pokio, the now closed app I used to play, that was the case at least. I only play OFC live now during poker festivals so im not sure what the situation is now online, ...

Problem why it ‘died out’ is actually pretty simple and the exact same thing happened with HU ‘regular’ poker games: there is a lot of bum hunting going on.
