Not loving the 3 player model in the arena, opinions?

It's very strange because if I go on the main Arena page of Wingspan, and I click on "Consultez les règles de la saison" (Consult the rules of the season), then I see "2 players".

I didn't play any game yet this season but from what I read here and the game played by ithers, it seems it's still 3 players.

Is there any Guru here to confirm that the decision was 2 or 3 players ? Thanks!

I am confused as well. According to the game page, both last season and his season were 2-player, but that's no correct. Last season and this seas are/were 3-player, right?

You see this because new information is posted on the game page only if something has changed in the arena settings. Nothing has changed now, and you can see the latest changes, which were the transition from 2 players to three. if you Scroll down more the change before was made already two years ago when the wood duck was removed

The top news item on the game page lists the changes for last season, 3 months ago. You have to check the date below the post to notice this.

The Arena format is unchanged this season, so no update has been posted.

Why 3p again? Three players was a good experiment, but the number of games shows that 3p was much less popular - 91,000 games compared to 222,000 last season. Even if you consider that 2p is played one and a half times faster than 3p, the difference is still very big.

Because the players who love the 3 player mode are the ones who got to vote since they played much

And playing 2 players should be a lot faster, allowing you to play more games and get guru status and then vote for change next season.

Making Arena 3 players should in fact slow down people that prefer 3 players, but will play arena regardless. Getting what they want will cause the number of games to drop making it more likely that the format will switch back.

There should be an option for 1min timers to help speed up the game for faster players

I'm not sure that's how guru works. I think it's based on arena games played, not all games played. I was guru for one season in another game, where I played a ton of games and had a high arena ranking, but nobody ever told me exactly why I was chosen for it.

I'm not sure that's how guru works. I think it's based on arena games played, not all games played. I was guru for one season in another game, where I played a ton of games and had a high arena ranking, but nobody ever told me exactly why I was chosen for it.

I became a Guru for some games without playing in the Arena.
